Unboxing the Saladbox & Vampire Diaries October 2016 Box

Told ya, there are more unboxing posts coming (teehee!)

This is officially my second installment from my 6-month subscription box from Saladbox.ph and this month's theme or collaboration is with ETC's Vampire Diaries tv series. The box contained various products from makeup, skincare and even a drink!

I still haven't used this Skin Genie black mallows scrub because I'm still trying to use up my current face scrub but I am so excited to use this. If I am not mistaken, Skin Genie is a pretty new brand of organic/all-natural skincare products. I tried and already used up their natural foaming feminine wash and I really like it. This scrub contains 5 individually shaped black soap-looking scrub with sprinkles of what seems to be white powdered sugar. I'd say keep this away from kids because it does really look like marshmallows.

Next up is this 5 gram sachet of aloe vera gel from Aloe Derma. I have the aloe vera gel from the Faceshop and I believe that this is practically the same. This would come in handy for a one-night travel or a swimming trip.

Now these two are samples of the Alien perfume from Thierry Mugler and oh my goodness this smells divine! I love it, although I might not probably be able to buy the full size of this.

This one I am really excited to about, although I'm not gonna lie I may have been happier if I got the actual mascara and not the tinted primer but hey anything from Benefit is always a great thing to receive from a subscription box. Still haven't used this and I'm so glad to get this from my box.

This is probably my fave item from the box which sucks because it's just one sachet. It would be a miracle to get a full size of this but nonetheless I am so happy to be able to finally try it out. It says it's good for single use but I was able to squeeze in two uses of this and this GlamGlow Youthmud Mask Treatment is amazing! It has that tingling effect on the skin and it really felt like it's sucking all those gunk and left my skin squeaky clean and exfoliated. It was so good while it lasted.

Next up are these Mary Kay sample eyeshadows in the shade Sweet Plum and Honey Spice. These i have not used as well but the colors look promising.

Alright, this one is quiet random but it's great to get some edible goodies from a subscription box. This is Aloe Cure pure aloe extract drink and the 120 ml bottle is good for two dosages. It says it's indicated to drink one dose in the morning, another at the end of the day. I have to be honest, I just had the first dose and have to throw it out because I don't like the taste and texture of it. I taste sour in a weird way and it feels slimy in the throat as well. I'm sure aloe vera is good for you but I'm passing up on this one.

And lastly is this glutathione soap with kojic and collagen from Sofia's which I believe is a local brand. First off, the packaging is legit, it looks like a wrapped gift. It smells nice as well but haven't used it that long to say it's effective. Nonetheless, really looking forward to using this.

That's all y'all! Talk to you on my next unboxing? I'm pretty sure it will be an unboxing post again after this ^___^

My Second Althea.kr Haul

No doubt, Althea Korea has been my go-to online shop if I needed (or most of the time, wanted) some Korean skincare and makeup products. Not only is there a wide selection of brands, but their prices are the most affordable.

I was browsing for weeks on the site, just window shopping but when they released a buy 2 get 1 free promo for the It's Skin serum effector, I knew I have to dive in because not all the time I will get this kind of steal. One of my first orders from Althea Korea was the It's Skin Power 10 Formula VC Effect and i loved it so i knew i had to try out the other variants from this line.

For the buy 2 get 1 free promo, I got the Power 10 Formula WH Effector,  VB Effector and the PO Effector. WH is for whitening, VB has vitamin B6, and PO is indicated for pores.

I also got the Skinfood Black Sugar Honey Mask Wash Off because I saw a couple of great reviews of this in Youtube and I bought the Eggwhite Pore Mask before, also from Skinfood and is really great.

And then, i struggled to pick one toner. I love toners, it's one of my favorite steps in my skincare routine. I know for sure that i wanted to get a pore refining or oil control toner and I was caught between the Etude House pore refresher and this A'pieu Stone Peach Pore Less Freshner. But i thought, hey, this time I won't get into the hype first and try out a highly rated product which is not that popular. And I'm so glad i did, this toner is very refreshing and really cleanse dirt and makeup residue after washing my face, and, it smells like peaches!

And then, the Y.E.T officially launched in the site and they have an ongoing sale for all products of this brand. A lot of products have been sold out already so i only was able to get Y.E.T Don't worry Mask Sheet in oil control variant. It's very cheap compared to all the other mask sheets so it's no surprise that they run out fast. I've used this one already and it's your typical sheet mask but hey it's half the price and does the job just as good so i love it!

Alright, now this next product I got was due to the fact that I've been having breakouts particularly on my nose and cheeks area. I used to remedy this with an acne patch but I already ran out of those so I decided this might be very effective. I used it a couple times already and i think it really did help out dry out pimples faster so they heal fast. What i don't like about this though is how it dries off and then it crusts and crumbles so it does not sits on the face (or pimple for that matter) for a long time.

And last but not the least, is one product that I have been wanting to try out for the longest time. I'm a big fan of scrubs and this has so many great reviews. It's fairly cheap as well and you get a big squeeze container. The smell is so good and it's not so abrasive so I use it daily. The best thing about this scrub foam is that it does not dry out my face so much after washing and it foams up into a lather so i feel like i'm not just exfoliating but also washing my face with one product.

And that is it! Days before writing this haul, I have already placed another order in Althea Korea, i know i need help! But hey, skincare is a great thing to invest in and Koreans are the best in that area, in my opinion, and thanks to Althea Korea, i now have access to hundreds and thousands of Korean makeup and skincare products. I just have to restrain myself for buying too much LOL.

Unboxing the Drop Dead Gorgeous Glamourbox Featuring Pop Beauty

Wow, once again GlamourBox delivered yet another marvelous subscription box. I am and will always be a fan. The boxes they curate are always well-thought, they deliver on time and the packaging is top-notch.

Last month, October 2016, Glamourbox curated another subscription box featuring all POP Beauty products. All are in full sizes and the box costed 1290 pesos excluding shipping.

Let's have a run down of all the items in this #DropDeadGorgeous box!

First off is this Pow Wow Powder in Beachin Bronze which is a 4 shade bronzer. Two are matte and two are shimmery. There was another variant, Rockin Rouge which included two blushes and two bronzers but this is the one that I got and I am happy with it. I love the packaging and the powder pigment is pretty on point. It's a bit powdery so watch out for fall outs but other than that, I really like it. This retails for 1190 pesos.

Next up is the Pouty Pop Crayon in the shade Rose Romance. It's a tinted lip balm and it's got a nice sheer pinkish finish that's perfect for a natural makeup look. This retails for 395 pesos.

Up next is the Peak Performance Brow in Natural Brunette. It's a slanted retractable brow pencil that came with a brow brush in the other end. The shade is perfect for me and it's easy to apply as well. This costs 790 pesos.

And then we have my fave item out of the bunch. This is the Permanent Pout liquid lipstick in the shade Razzle Rose. I love this! It's matte, easy to apply, not drying and kiss-proof. This retails for 750 pesos.

Also included in the box is the Pop Nail Glam. I have mine in the shade which is really pigmented and last longer than other nail polish brands. Excuse the tattered print but I've used it for a couple of times and it just worn off from the bottle. This costs 450 pesos on their website.

Lastly, they included a 400 pesos voucher that you can use to shop in the site, Glamourbox.Ph.

The overall value of the box totaled to 3,975 (if you're going to use the voucher). That, my friends is a steal for me. Doing a happy dance now ^__^

Unboxing My First Saladbox Subscription | Saladbox September 2016 Best of Benefit

Brace yourself for more unboxing posts because I just signed-up for a 6-month subscription service from Saladbox. Bwahahahaha! Okay, that was totally inappropriate but I am awkward like that.

I knew about Saladbox for months now but never gotten a chance, or should I say - never really gave in because to be honest they don't have the best reviews or feedback online. But, being that I am makeup newbie, with not enough money to spare for expensive makeup, a Benefit Ph curated box sounds very appealing because this mean that I can finally (yes, finally my first time) try the brand. To add to that, Saladbox is celebrating their 4 years on the business which I thought would be the best time to subscribe because it would mean that a box this month would be extra special.

And, so here we are. . .happy birthday Saladbox! happy first subscription to me!

If you're not familiar with Saladbox, it's a monthly subscription box here in the Philippines. They offer a wide range of plans from 3 months, 6 months up to one year subscriptions. They also offer Saladbox Man which (you guessed it) is a subscription box for men. They just launched a new website and a lot more promos like Saladbox Premier, Starter Plus Plan. You can check out more information about them at www.Saladbox.ph

For me, I got the 6-month Prepaid Saladbox which cost 3,300 pesos. Monthly box cost 500 pesos plus 100 for shipping but for this particular plan, 3 months worth of shipping is free.

Alright, first off is this sample of the Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer which costs around 1,300 pesos for the full size product. The sample sachet included in the box says it is worth 100.

Next up is a deluxe sample kit of the Benefit's HOOLA line that contains Hoola Matte Bronzer, Hoola Liquid Bronzer, Hoola Zero Tanlines and a sponge.

The Benefit Dew the Hoola Liquid Bronzer in full size regularly costs 1,600 pesos and the sample value for the 5 ml pump bottle is 500 pesos.

The Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer in full size also costs 1,600 pesos and the sample value for the 3 gram pressed powder is 500 pesos.

The Benefit Hoola Zero Tanlines body bronzer in full size retails for also 1,600 pesos and costs 500 pesos for the 15 ml sample container.

It came with a sponge which is of great quality, so that's a plus! This is indicated for the body bronzer for easy application but it's great for blending out foundation or BB cream as well.

Another item in sample size is the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation. I got the shade 'I'm so Money" in a 3 ml plastic bottle. The cost for the full size of this is 1,700 pesos and the sample value costs 250 pesos.

Lastly, the box came with a 500 Benecash which is equivalent to 500 pesos which you can use to buy in any Benefit stores nationwide.

The total value for all the items in the box is 2,350 pesos, if you're going to pay that amount indicated for the sample-sized items.

Okay, now if I really think about it. . .like, really think about it, it's a great value for my money which again I paid 500 and 100 for shipping and I got to try 5 Benefit products for the first time. But, honestly, a part of me is kind of disappointed. First of all, I cannot use the Benecash because there is no Benefit store where I live, not one in my province. Another thing, all products are sample sizes only. Okay, I admit I might be highly demanding here because I only paid 500 pesos and to get these amount of products is pretty nice, but I don't know. . .I think I would prefer a box with one full size product, no coupon or gift certificate and one or two samples. But then again, maybe a full size product is achievable if the box's price is higher. So in totality, it's okay. . .it's not a bad box this month at all. I am still looking forward my other boxes ^__^
